Deliver exceptional patient care in an interventional radiology setting focused exclusively on vascular procedures. This opportunity is for a full-time contract position, supporting a team as they transition to welcome a new RN. The unit specializes in vascular cases and does not cover neuro, stroke, or cardiac cath procedures. As a key member of the nursing staff, you will contribute your skills to performing and assisting in procedures such as pulmonary embolism intervention, thrombectomies, DVT management, angiograms, fistulas, and nephrostomies.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active and unrestricted RN license (required)

Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in interventional radiology (IR) with a vascular focus

Direct experience with vascular procedures including PE, thrombectomy, DVT, angiogram, fistula, and nephrostomy cases

BLS and ACLS certifications (required)

Strong ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams

Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Previous travel nursing experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities:

Prepare and recover patients before and after interventional radiology vascular procedures

Monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring safety and prompt intervention when needed

Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and care teams for optimal patient outcomes

Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per facility protocols

Educate patients and families regarding procedures, expected outcomes, and follow-up care

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory and best practice standards
