We have multiple contract opportunities for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support elementary and middle school students with a range of health needs. This rewarding role involves working closely with medically fragile students, providing both routine and specialized care during school hours and while bus riding.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active LPN or LVN license issued by Virginia
  • Comfortable working with diabetic care, seizure protocols, and medically complex/fragile students
  • Confident in administering student care measures such as toileting, diapering, g-tube, trach management, and routine health monitoring
  • Previous experience in a school environment strongly preferred
  • Willing to assist with bus transportation, including morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off as needed
  • Compassionate approach, strong communication, and the ability to remain composed in varied situations
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consistent nurse services to students in both elementary and middle school settings
  • Support daily health needs, manage emergencies, and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide essential care including medication administration, glucose monitoring, and respiratory support as needed
  • Assist with activities of daily living, supporting students’ dignity and comfort
  • Collaborate with staff, teachers, and families to ensure a safe and inclusive school environment
  • Track and document student interactions and health events in compliance with school policy
  • These contract positions offer a 37.5-hour work week, providing an engaging routine while impacting young lives. You will work alongside dedicated education professionals and gain valuable experience in a school health environment.
