Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives by providing individualized care and expertise in a dynamic educational setting. This contract opportunity centers on delivering essential nursing services as an LVN/LPN to medically fragile students across multiple campuses near Oakland, CA. With a full-time, full-school-year schedule (30 hours per week), you’ll work in a 1:1 itinerant position—rotating to wherever your support is needed most.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current LPN/LVN license with eligibility to practice in California
  • Prior experience supporting students in school settings is required
  • Strong skills in gastronomy care, bladder cauterization, diabetes management (including insulin administration, CGM, carb counting), and managing hypo/hyperglycemia
  • Expertise in administering medications including EpiPens and antihistamines
  • Comfort working with students ranging from 4–22 years old, including those with ASD and developmental delays
  • Ability to connect and communicate with parents, students, and staff
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are an asset, though not required
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and update seizure and health plans to ensure student safety
  • Provide staff training on student-specific medical procedures
  • Build rapport with families and acclimate to students’ needs
  • Remain on call for urgent health needs during the school day
  • Deliver direct care to assigned students as needed
  • Adapt to an itinerant schedule, rotating among schools and students
