We are seeking experienced MedSurg/Telemetry Registered Nurses for a resource team contract position, offering a dynamic environment in a Level I Trauma setting.

Schedule & Hours:

  • 874-bed facility with resource team float requirements
  • Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
  • No on-call for travelers
  • Expectation to work 75% of holidays
  • Up to 6 days of approved time off (not including holidays); any additional days will be added to contract duration

    • Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry RN experience (Resource Team)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Strong clinical skills: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke care, trach care, PIV starts, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG, Hemovac, JP, Flexiseals, Foley)
  • Proficient with cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVF management
  • Experience with patients pre- and post-transplant, trauma, GI/liver/renal disorders
  • EPIC EMR proficiency
  • Willingness to float to multiple facilities within designated regions and across shifts as needed (paid mid-shift travel time)

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to complex MedSurg/Telemetry populations, including postoperative transplant, trauma, and chronic disease management
  • Independently manage patient ratios up to 1:7–8 during surge scenarios
  • Perform thorough assessments, interventions, and documentation for diverse diagnoses (kidney/liver disease, trauma, surgical procedures, etc.)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including 24/7 access to hospitalists, intensivists, and resource nurses
  • Read cardiac and telemetry monitors; direct intervention if changes occur
