    • Position Overview

    We're seeking skilled and dependable Med/Surg Registered Nurses with Oncology experience to join our team in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate is an experienced Med/Surg RN who is committed to providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care while exercising sound clinical judgment.

    This position is primarily based on a Med/Surg unit, with the opportunity to occasionally administer chemotherapy. Candidates must have an ONS Provider Card and relevant oncology experience.

    Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a Med/Surg unit.
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and changes in clinical status.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
  • Occasionally administer chemotherapy as appropriate and within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and care needs.
  • Follow all hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety protocols.
  • Provide compassionate, professional care to oncology and Med/Surg patients.

    • Requirements

  • Current and active RN license.
  • Recent Med/Surg nursing experience.
  • Oncology experience required.
  • ONS Provider Card required for occasional chemotherapy administration.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts.

    • Available Shifts

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

    • Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced Med/Surg RN with a strong oncology background.
  • Confident caring for medically complex patients.
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable with oncology-related patient care.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Able to exercise sound clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment.
