Bring your oncology experience to a dynamic setting at a respected Magnet-recognized, Level I Trauma Center. This role focuses on providing expert care to oncology and bone marrow transplant patients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Schedule:

  • Night shifts: 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30)
  • Every other weekend required

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, auto stem cell transplants, and other oncology treatments.
  • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; passing the Relias EKG exam is required.
  • Float throughout the Oncology department based on real-time needs, ensuring optimal staffing across units.
  • Maintain a safe 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, supporting a daily census of 30 across 32 beds/rooms.
  • Ensure adherence to facility protocols and best practices using EPIC software for charting.
  • Administer and monitor chemotherapy with precision and compassion.
  • Support patient recovery and educate patients and families on treatment plans.

    • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with at least 1 year of relevant experience
  • BCLS certification required
  • Chemo certification highly preferred; candidates with a strong oncology background are encouraged
  • Prior experience in acute care, BMT, or oncology environments advantageous
  • Comfort with floating among Oncology units as needed
