Skills & Qualifications:

Active certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or ORT

Previous experience in a perioperative or surgical setting preferred

Strong understanding of surgical policies, aseptic technique, and instrument care

Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and other OR staff during procedures

Effective communication and collaboration skills

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain a sterile operating area, ensuring all instruments and equipment are ready for surgery

Assist surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments and supplies, maintaining field sterility, and supporting patient safety

Monitor and count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure nothing is retained post-procedure

Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards at all times

Maintain accurate and thorough patient and procedural documentation

Support surgeons, RNs, and anesthesia team throughout every stage of the operative process

Collaborate to ensure optimal patient care and workflow in the OR

$2,195 - $2,322/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
