Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent
  • Proven experience as an OR Tech, with a strong foundation in surgical nursing practices
  • Comprehensive understanding of sterilization protocols and infection control standards
  • Proficiency with surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies
  • Ability to function effectively in high-paced situations and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational, and communication abilities
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms by setting up equipment and ensuring all instruments are sterilized and organized
  • Assist surgical teams before, during, and after procedures by anticipating needs and passing instruments efficiently
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique to uphold patient safety and reduce infection risks
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless procedural flow
  • Perform specimen collection, labeling, and transport according to protocol
  • Accurately complete documentation related to surgical procedures and patient care
  • Participate in decontamination and turnover of operating rooms between procedures

    $1,815 - $1,920/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
