Key Qualifications:

Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (ORT) required

Successful completion of a nationally accredited Surgical Technology program

Previous experience in an operating room environment preferred

Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control standards

Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile field protocols

Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking abilities

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-stress environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment

Assist surgical team members during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field

Anticipate the needs of surgeons and nurses to facilitate safe and effective procedures

Ensure accurate preparation and handling of specimens

Adhere to stringent infection control policies at all times

Assist with post-operative room turnover and equipment sterilization

Maintain meticulous documentation pertaining to surgical procedures and patient care
