Key Qualifications:

Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT)

Completion of an accredited surgical technology program

Demonstrated experience assisting in surgical procedures, handling sterile instruments, and supporting perioperative teams

Proficiency in preparing operating rooms, maintaining aseptic environments, and monitoring patient safety

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and ancillary staff

Strong attention to detail, initiative, and adaptability in fast-paced environments

BLS certification required

Schedule/Hours:

Details provided during screening, with expectations for flexible scheduling according to operating room needs

Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room with instruments and sterile supplies, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly

Assist surgeons and registered nurses during operative and invasive procedures

Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control policies throughout all cases

Anticipate surgeons’ needs during procedures to ensure smooth workflow and positive patient outcomes

Accurately count instruments and sponges, ensuring all surgical items are accounted for before procedure completion

Assist with patient transport, positioning, and discharge from the operating room
