Qualifications:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience in a NICU
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Familiarity with NICU equipment and protocols
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care to critically ill and premature newborns
  • Accurately administer medications and treatments according to protocols
  • Monitor and document patient status, recognizing early signs of complications
  • Support and educate families, providing updates and reassurance
  • Work in partnership with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other professionals
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
  • Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives as needed
