Expertise in operating room nursing is sought for an assignment in a dynamic surgical suite within a well-established medical center. This role focuses on providing top-tier patient care during a variety of complex and specialized procedures in a 16-room main operating room setting. The position requires a keen clinical skill set and experience with transplant operations, offering an opportunity to work with advanced technology and a seasoned, collaborative surgical team.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour day shifts: 7 AM – 7 PM
  • Rotating night and weekend call
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Demonstrated transplant procedure proficiency is required
  • Preferred: 3 or more years of experience in an operating room setting
  • Certification in perioperative nursing is an asset
  • Familiarity with EMR systems; exposure to Meditech is a plus
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff to ensure safe, seamless OR flow
  • Anticipate instrument and procedural needs during a wide variety of surgeries, including total joints, spine, kidney/liver transplants, robotics, vascular, ENT, and plastics
  • Uphold strict aseptic technique and unit policies
  • Provide vigilant intraoperative monitoring and quick response in critical situations
  • Contribute positively to unit efficiency and patient outcomes through best nursing practices
