Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Lawrence, Kansas

Schedule/Hours:

Key Qualifications:
• Current, unencumbered RN license
• At least 1 year of recent experience as an OR Nurse
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and aseptic technique
• Proficient in patient assessment, monitoring, and advocating for patient safety
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond swiftly in urgent situations

Primary Responsibilities:
• Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sterile and available
• Provide safe, efficient care to surgical patients from pre-op to post-op
• Monitor patient status and respond to clinical changes
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and surgical activities
• Follow all infection control protocols and facility policies
• Educate patients and families on perioperative care as needed
