Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license
  • Proven experience in Operating Room nursing, including scrubbing and circulating responsibilities
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and assessment skills
  • Ability to respond swiftly and effectively in urgent or emergent situations
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
  • Strong understanding of surgical procedures and patient safety standards

    • Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients prior to surgery and provide updates to surgical teams
  • Safely administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient responses throughout procedures
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile field protocols and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly
  • Provide emotional support and clear education to patients and families pre- and post-operatively
  • Respond promptly to any complications, ensuring swift escalation or intervention as needed
  • Accurately complete required documentation for each case
