Caseload: 1:1 nursing support for a student requiring ASL
Position Summary
Provide direct, one-to-one nursing care and support to a student with complex medical needs in a school setting. Responsibilities include ongoing tracheostomy (trach) management, feeding tube care, and supporting the student’s communication needs involving ASL. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver continuous 1:1 nursing care during the school day
Perform trach care, suctioning, and related respiratory management as ordered
Manage feeding tube administration, monitoring, and related care
Monitor the student’s health status and respond to medical needs
Communicate effectively with the student, educational team, and family
Maintain accurate documentation and follow school health protocols
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to support the student’s participation in the school environment.
