Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide healthcare services and support to students in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will promote student health and safety, manage daily medical needs, respond to health-related emergencies, and collaborate with school staff and families to ensure students are healthy, supported, and ready to learn.

Primary Duties:

Provide direct nursing care to students in accordance with physician orders, school policies, and state regulations
Assess, monitor, and respond to student health concerns, illnesses, and injuries
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Care Plans (ECPs)
Support students with chronic health conditions, including diabetes, asthma, seizures, allergies, and other medical needs
Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
Collaborate with school staff, families, healthcare providers, and related service professionals to support student health and well-being
Participate in IEP and Section 504 meetings as needed
Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives within the school community
Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and health regulations
Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed

Requirements:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
Current CPR/BLS certification
Previous pediatric, school nursing, community health, or related nursing experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Experience with electronic health records and medical documentation preferred
