Qualifications and Required Experience:

  • Current and valid Washington State LPN license/certification
  • Fingerprint clearance through OSPI
  • Demonstrated experience working with pediatric patients, preferably in a school or similar setting
  • Skill in caring for students with complex medical needs, including tracheostomy management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to respond promptly and appropriately in medical situations
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, one-to-one nursing care to a student with significant health needs, including monitoring during transportation and throughout the school day
  • Administer treatments, manage medications, and address immediate health concerns
  • Maintain clear, diligent health records in compliance with school regulations and nursing standards
  • Collaborate closely with school staff, transportation personnel, and the student’s family to ensure a safe, supportive environment
  • Conduct thorough health assessments and participate in developing care plans tailored to the student’s unique needs
