A skilled Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is needed to serve as a dedicated 1:1 aide for a student requiring close medical monitoring. In this contract position, your expertise ensures the student’s well-being and inclusion during the school year.

In this role, your core responsibility is the individualized care of a single student, primarily focusing on the management of oxygen delivery and continuous clinical monitoring. You will work within one school with a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts CNA license
  • Documented training and experience in oxygen delivery and adjustment
  • Competence in operating and troubleshooting oxygen saturation equipment
  • Capability in clinical assessment, including cardiorespiratory physical exams
  • Current CPR certification
  • Previous experience working in school or pediatric settings is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, especially regarding hydration monitoring and oxygen level assessment
  • Responsibilities:

  • Remain with one student throughout the school day to monitor health and safety
  • Administer and adjust oxygen therapy as needed
  • Maintain and manage oxygen delivery equipment and supplies
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of student’s respiratory and hydration status
  • Initiate CPR and emergency protocols if clinically indicated
  • Communicate and document observations and interventions clearly and promptly
