School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania

As the nurse for this assignment, you will collaborate closely with school staff, contribute to a positive and nurturing environment, and support the unique needs of your student. Your expertise and compassion will be critical in fostering their comfort, safety, and confidence for a successful school experience.

What you’ll bring:
• Current LPN license for Pennsylvania
• Previous experience supporting adolescents, especially in educational or pediatric settings
• Proficiency with catheterization and related medical procedures
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a school team
• Commitment to confidentiality, empathy, and professionalism
• Adaptability and readiness to respond to student needs throughout the school day

Your key responsibilities:
• Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care to a student, including daily medical tasks such as catheterization
• Monitor and document student health and progress, communicating regularly with staff and parents
• Respond promptly to emergencies and ensure the student’s comfort and safety at all times
• Participate in team meetings as needed, sharing valuable insights into student care plans
• Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with school and state guidelines
