Provide essential care and support to students as a School Nurse in the Everett and surrounding areas. This contract opportunity offers both part-time and full-time options to work in a dynamic educational environment, delivering specialized care for students with complex medical needs.

Schedules:

  • Part-time: 4 hours per day, 4 days per week (1:1 with preschool student; 21-22 school year)
  • Full-time position also available

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 skilled nursing care to assigned student during the school day
  • Perform tracheostomy care, including ongoing airway assessment, suctioning, and ventilator support as needed
  • Administer G-tube feedings, maintain site care, and assist with PO feeds in accordance with parent direction
  • Monitor and assist students with visual impairments, ensuring safe mobility and transfers
  • Provide toileting and diapering support as appropriate
  • Accompany student on school transportation, including riding the bus to and from school
  • Administer medications and document care per established protocols

    • Desired Qualifications:

  • Active RN license (LPNs may also be considered for certain roles)
  • Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or acute care setting preferred
  • Strong skills in trach care, G-tube management, and medication administration
  • Ability to confidently respond to medical situations and proactively monitor student well-being
  • Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills for student, family, and school staff interaction
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving student needs and school schedules
