An excellent opportunity is available for skilled Registered Nurses seeking to advance their careers in a dynamic cardiovascular stepdown environment. This contract role offers the chance to work within an Intermediate Care (ICVU-AM) setting, caring for patients recovering from cardiac events and procedures. Nurses with a passion for cardiac care and a strong clinical background are highly encouraged to apply.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM shifts
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Current, active RN license
  • Previous experience in cardiac stepdown or similar critical care/unit preferred
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular stepdown patients
  • Monitor cardiac status, vital signs, and response to treatments
  • Administer medications and interventions as prescribed
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac care, post-procedural recovery, and prevention strategies
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions, prioritizing patient safety at all times
