This travel nursing role involves a stimulating rotation of 12-hour MID shifts (36 hours per week) spanning day or evening blocks:

  • 6:00am–6:30pm
  • 7:00am–7:30pm
  • 8:00am–8:30pm
  • 9:00am–9:30pm
  • 10:00am–10:30pm
  • 11:00am–11:30pm
    Be ready for every third weekend and every third holiday (no call). Flexibility may be needed to float to Moakley PACU.
  • Bolster your professional repertoire in a unit managing 30–60 multifaceted cases daily, including trauma, pediatrics, ortho, general, cardiac cath, IR, neuro (IR), and EP procedures. This is an exceptional opportunity to refine phase 1 PACU skills with diverse patient populations, from pediatrics to high-complexity adult recoveries.

    Qualifications:

  • Active RN license, current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of robust PACU experience with high-volume, complex phase 1 cases (neuro, thoracic, vascular, ortho spine)
  • Pediatric PACU experience REQUIRED
  • Demonstrated telemetry proficiency, including independent reading/interpretation of rhythm strips and heart blocks (testing upon arrival with 84%+ required)
  • TNCC preferred
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient recovery post-operation in a dynamic, fast-paced PACU setting
  • Provide expert care for trauma, pediatrics, and a spectrum of surgical specialties
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Float to associated PACU units if needed
