This travel assignment offers exposure to one of the region’s leading healthcare institutions, giving you the chance to collaborate with an exceptional interdisciplinary team and learn from a variety of leadership and workplace styles. You’ll be able to contribute to adult and geriatric patient care in a department dedicated to decompressing the ED and specialty units, utilizing your expertise in Med-Surg and Med-Tele nursing. Capture valuable new experiences and techniques, strengthen your resume, and grow your network while working alongside resource nurses, hospitalists, intensivists, and robust support staff within a collaborative environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a)
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • No on-call requirements
  • 75% holiday coverage expected
  • Flexible schedule cycles every 6 weeks
  • Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Current RN license
  • At least 2 years of recent Med/Tele RN experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Proficiency in stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, and management of chest tubes/drains
  • Familiarity with cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVFs
  • EPIC charting experience preferred
  • Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to adults and geriatric patients with conditions such as COPD, CHF, trauma, PE, GI bleeds, and more
  • Manage medication infusions and perform essential nursing interventions
  • Effectively interpret telemetry and ensure vigilant monitoring
  • Support resource team coverage, float within the defined region as needed
