This assignment places you at the heart of a renowned teaching hospital, known for advanced trauma care and diverse patient populations. Experience first-hand how various units work together to decompress the ED and specialty areas, exposing you to a wide variety of clinical presentations and operational models. Working alongside experienced leadership, resource nurses, and a supportive interdisciplinary team will further sharpen your skills and broaden your resume with experiences not often found in one setting.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts
  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend
  • No on-call requirements
  • 6-week schedule cycles
  • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years recent Med/Tele RN experience (Resource Team)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
  • Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke care, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, drain/tube management, medication and cardiac drip management, and use of EMR (Epic)
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive care for adults and geriatrics with complex diagnoses such as COPD exacerbation, CHF, GI bleeds, trauma injuries, and more
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage multiple infusion therapies, blood product administration, and collaborate with an integrated team
  • Float across various medical-surgical and telemetry units within the assigned regional network as needed, maximizing your adaptability
  • Active involvement in unit-based leadership, quality improvements, and patient safety initiatives
