This travel nursing position on a MedSurg/Tele unit exposes you to a diverse patient population—stroke, COPD, chest pain, altered mental status, GI bleeds, and more—offering rich opportunities for professional growth. You’ll develop expertise in advanced care practices and enhance your resume through experience with varied leadership styles and interdisciplinary teamwork. Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts (0700-1900 or 1900-0700)
  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend required
  • No on-call duties
  • Expectation to work 75% of holidays
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to MedSurg/Tele patients, managing a 1:5-6 ratio (potentially up to 1:8 in surge situations)
  • Perform and interpret NIH stroke assessments, cardiac rhythm monitoring, manage drains (Hemovac, JP, PEG tubes), perform trach care, PIV starts, PCA pumps, and medication drip management (e.g., cardiac, Heparin, IVF, blood products)
  • Collaborate closely within a supportive interdisciplinary team
  • Float across regional facilities as needed, remaining within your clinical scope
  • Qualifications:

  • Current RN license and 18+ months MedSurg/Tele experience
  • Certified in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Proficiency in Epic EMR, Omnicell dispensing systems, and Alaris pumps
  • Comfort with a dynamic, team-driven environment and flexibility to float regionally
  • First-time travelers will be considered but are not preferred

    $1,579 - $1,728/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
