Step into a 27-bed unit averaging a bustling but manageable census of 20, within a hospital recognized as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center. This travel assignment empowers you to expand your expertise in Med-Surg and Telemetry nursing—perfect for building your clinical repertoire. You'll collaborate with motivated colleagues, refine specialized skills (from stroke/NIH assessments to intricate cardiac drips), and work under diverse leadership—each fostering fresh perspectives and professional growth. Expect to care for patients with complex diagnoses, including strokes, COPD exacerbations, chest pain, altered mental status, and GI bleeds, ensuring every shift is both meaningful and educational.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Shifts: 7a–7p and 7p–7a
  • Rotating weekends (every other)
  • 6-week schedule cycles
  • 75% holiday coverage expected
  • Floating to regional sites as needed, with on-the-clock travel pay between facilities
  • Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Active RN license; BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 18 months Med-Surg/Tele experience (first-time travelers considered for Resource Team)
  • Strong proficiency in Stroke/NIH assessments, cardiac rhythm interpretation, PIV starts, chest tube management, and advanced drain/tube management
  • Epic EMR experience highly preferred
  • Flexibility to float within region and adapt to various team settings
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to diverse Med-Surg/Telemetry patients
  • Safely administer complex medication regimens and manage IV infusions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNAs, RTs, and hospitalists
  • Maintain meticulous documentation and patient monitoring

    $1,579 - $1,728/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
