Schedule:

  • Travel position (specific shift details provided upon interview)
  • Qualifications:

  • 2 years of recent experience in a cardiac operating room
  • Certification from NBSTSA OR at least 10 years of experience as a surgical technician
  • American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
  • Ability to scrub and circulate in the operating room
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for cardiac surgical procedures
  • Support the surgical team from the scrub position during operations
  • Ensure proper care and handling of instruments, and facilitate efficient room turnover between cases
  • Maintain strict sterile technique, safe handling of sharps, and meticulous surgical counts as per policy
  • Demonstrate proper handling of solutions and pharmacologic agents under the direction of a registered nurse
