Schedule:

  • 3x12-hour day shifts (7a–7p)
  • Weekend rotation: 1 in 4 weekends (12-hour shifts)
  • Guaranteed weekly hours: 48 preferred, 36 acceptable
  • Call: One overnight call 11p–7a (trauma); specialty team assignments have tailored call schedules
  • Desired Background:

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • At least 3 years of recent experience in the operating room; Level 1 trauma center experience essential
  • Proficiency with modern surgical equipment (Storz, Stryker, Olympus, Intuitive Robots)
  • EPIC EMR familiarity preferred
  • Adaptability, accountability, timely work habits, and strong collaboration skills
  • Preferred exposure to a broad range of cases: General, GU/GYN, Ortho Trauma & Joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, Endovascular
  • Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields during surgical procedures
  • Support surgeons and nursing staff in a 26-bed OR suite with a 1:1 patient ratio
  • Demonstrate expertise in a fast-paced, Level 1 trauma environment
  • Rotate among specialty teams as needed, meeting varied call requirements
  • Adhere to departmental protocols and hospital best practices for optimal patient outcomes
  • Wear issued teal scrubs to maintain hospital standards
