Schedule/Hours:

  • 36 hours/week (13-week contract)
  • 12-hour shifts (various: days/nights, flexible start times)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Self-scheduling
  • Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Active RN, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • One year of PCU and oncology or trauma stepdown experience
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification (CHEMO CERT REQUIRED)
  • Experience titrating drips (e.g., insulin, cardizem) preferred
  • Strong team-player with positive attitude and cultural sensitivity
  • Comfortable with Epic EMR (orientation provided)
  • Charge nurse experience (for applicable roles), 1+ year
  • Willingness to float to similar units as needed
  • Must be outside 50-mile commuting radius
  • Valid driver’s license at interview
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care in a 27–28 bed mixed unit (PCU/Oncology/MedSurg)
  • Manage and monitor chemotherapy and trauma patients across diverse backgrounds
  • Perform safe medication administration, including chemotherapy and titratable drips
  • Cross-train and assist with real-time monitoring and specialty equipment
  • Adhere to hospital protocols, including strict hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with nursing assistants, case managers, therapy, and support teams
  • Practice respectful, inclusive patient care regardless of beliefs or backgrounds
