Schedule/Hours:

  • 0700-1730
  • Weekend and night call requirements
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid NY RN license
  • At least 2 years of cardiac catheterization, procedural, or sedation experience
  • Strong assessment, monitoring, and intervention skills for cardiac patients
  • Ability to administer oral and IV medications safely
  • Acute awareness required for patient monitoring under sedation
  • Experience as part of an emergency cardiac (STEMI) team preferred
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, monitoring, and interventions for cardiac procedures (left/right heart catheterizations, stents, balloon valvuloplasty, pericardiocentesis, and more)
  • Serve as an active member of the Emergency On Call (STEMI) Team
  • Manage patients during and after cardiac procedures, including those under sedation
  • Educate patients and families about surgical site care, lifestyle changes, postoperative care, and medications
  • Organize and manage medical documentation, including patient consent, charting, and lab results
  • Collaborate with physicians and allied health staff for optimal patient care
