Working in the Operating Room as a Registered Nurse, you’ll collaborate with a diverse team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians. Schedule/Hours:

  • Key Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Massachusetts RN license
  • BLS required upon hire and ability to obtain ACLS within 60 days (or ACLS upon hire)
  • O.R. nursing experience and CNOR certification strongly preferred
  • Outstanding communication and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and a positive attitude
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient-centered care based on standards, protocols, and established procedures
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions for surgical patients
  • Maintain sterile fields; ensure safe handling of equipment and supplies
  • Collaborate with care teams for safe and effective surgical interventions
  • Strictly uphold aseptic and safety practices, and patient identification protocols
  • Educate patients and families, ensuring their needs and readiness to learn are addressed
  • Accurately document interventions and communicate with the broader care team
  • Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and continued professional development
