This Emergency Department role places you at the center of a dynamic hospital environment with a high-acuity, 64-bed unit serving a broad patient population—ranging from newborns to geriatrics. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, adapting to varied protocols and leadership approaches that broaden your skill set. With exposure to complex diagnoses and advanced specialty equipment, this position is ideal for nurses eager to develop professionally while making the most of their travel experience.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM shifts
  • Block scheduling not guaranteed
  • Qualifications:

  • Active NY RN license (verified via NURSYS)
  • Documentation of at least 2 years of recent ED experience, including Pediatrics
  • Previous travel RN experience required
  • Charge RN experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
  • Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
  • Must provide skills checklist and up-to-date resume
  • Valid driver’s license matching demographics
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled nursing care in a fast-paced emergency setting across the age spectrum
  • Float to other units as needed
  • Respond adeptly to a full range of patient emergencies (stroke, cardiac arrest, trauma, sepsis)
  • Administer diverse drips and medications, operate rapid infusers and specialty equipment
  • Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and patient safety standards
