Embark on a travel assignment within a leading academic medical center, renowned for excellence in pediatric oncology and hematology care. By working in a dynamic, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, you'll collaborate with professionals dedicated to patient-centered learning and innovation. Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour shifts: 7am – 7pm
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • No on-call required
  • Required to work 75% of holidays
  • Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
  • Required Qualifications:

  • RN with current state license
  • Minimum 1 year experience in pediatric hematology/oncology acute care
  • BLS certification (PALS preferred)
  • APHON chemo certification (required)
  • Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable with central line management and chemo administration
  • Will consider first-time travelers with robust pediatric background
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care to pediatric hematology/oncology and adolescent medicine patients
  • Manage patient loads of 3-4 in hem/onc, 4-5 in adolescent medicine
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (CNA, charge nurse, phlebotomy, RT, intensivists)
  • Navigate department equipment including Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell
  • Float as needed between pediatric units, excluding pediatric ED
  • Participate in departmental and facility orientation for seamless integration
