Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel position; flexible schedule typical of an emergency department
  • Rotational shifts, including nights and weekends as needed
  • Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum one year of recent ER nursing experience
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC certifications (TNCC/ATCN/CEN strongly preferred)
  • Experience with patient care across the lifespan
  • Strong skills in rapid triage, assessment, and safe high-risk medication administration
  • Ability to document care meticulously and communicate effectively in urgent situations
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough patient assessments and reassessments, creating and updating individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments in adherence to best practices and hospital protocols
  • Accurately document all care, interventions, education, and patient responses
  • Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs
  • Effectively collaborate in multidisciplinary care planning and use established communication tools (e.g., SBAR)
  • Actively support quality and safety initiatives, including infection control and National Patient Safety Goals
  • Handle admissions, discharges, and care transitions efficiently
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hospital emergency policies, codes, and safety procedures
