Qualified candidates will have:

  • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Prior experience working in a school setting

  • Ability to work full-time, adhering to school hours (no LPNs, RN only)
  • Resume and certification/license required with application
  • Key responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing services, including emergency care, first aid, and illness management
  • Administer medications per state and school policy, maintaining thorough documentation
  • Support wellness programs, assist with health plans (allergy, asthma, seizure), and help maintain the health office
  • Monitor and report AED status and participate in accurate record-keeping for student health compliance
  • Make referrals as needed for suspected abuse/neglect as a mandated reporter
