Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a Pediatric CVICU
  • Current, valid RN license
  • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations
  • Outstanding teamwork, communication, and time management skills

    • Schedule/Hours:

  • Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status, 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU patients

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized, high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric cardiovascular patients
  • Assess, monitor, and implement care plans tailored to complex conditions
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure holistic support for patients and families
  • Administer medications, manage cardiac drips, and operate advanced life-support equipment
  • Provide emotional and educational support to patient families throughout the care process
  • Maintain meticulous patient records and participate in ongoing unit education
