Key Qualifications:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a CVICU or cardiac critical care unit
  • Proficiency with advanced cardiovascular monitoring equipment and protocols
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications, with PALS or CCRN preferred
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stress environments requiring rapid decision-making
  • Solid documentation and electronic charting experience

  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill cardiovascular patients, following physician-directed treatment plans
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac data, recognizing and responding to subtle changes in patient status
  • Administer medications, therapies, and interventions consistent with best practices and hospital protocols
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists—to optimize patient outcomes
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on post-cardiac procedure recovery and ongoing management
  • Maintain meticulous patient records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory and facility standards
