Advance your nursing career in a Magnet and teaching hospital, contributing your specialized skills to a high-acuity Oncology and BMT (Blood and Marrow Transplant) unit. As an oncology RN, you'll play a crucial role in providing compassionate, expert care to patients undergoing treatment, including auto stem cell transplants and chemotherapy administration. The unit averages a daily census of 30 with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, ensuring a supportive environment for both staff and patients.

Schedule:

  • Night shift: three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with at least 1 year of nursing experience (oncology experience strongly preferred)
  • BCLS certification required
  • Chemo certification preferred
  • Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias; must pass the Relias EKG exam prior to start
  • Willingness to float throughout the Oncology department as census demands
  • Comfortable with EPIC charting system
  • Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based care for oncology and BMT patients
  • Administer chemotherapy and support complex procedures such as auto stem cell transplants
  • Closely monitor patient status, interpret EKGs, and manage dysrhythmias
  • Foster a patient-centered approach while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Adapt to floating assignments and support high-need units across the Oncology department
