What you’ll bring:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
  • Clinical experience with medically fragile children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
  • Familiarity with legal documentation and care plans as required for RN - Legal Nurse skillset
  • Current CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers
  • Strong advocacy skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in documenting care
  • Primary responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert one-on-one care for a medically fragile student throughout the school day
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to health emergencies promptly
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and the student’s family to ensure best outcomes
  • Complete and maintain accurate legal and medical documentation in accordance with regulations
  • Educate staff on the care needs and emergency protocols for the student
  • Adapt care routines and respond flexibly to changing medical needs
